Why are we changing?
As part of the NHS’s transition to plastic-free wipes and improved sustainability, we are excited to announce our new plastic-free Bed Bath Cloths and Personal Care Cloths, available in NHSSC from 16th February 2026.
There is no change to the performance or intended use. The cloths are now plastic-free with a fragrance-free formula.
What's changing?
Introduction of plastic-free cloths
The cloths are transitioning to a plastic-free format to support the NHS’s sustainability commitments.
Updated product codes
As a result of the change, new NCP product codes will be introduced and ordering systems will need to be updated accordingly.
No change to product performance
There is no change to the intended use or performance of the cloths. The cloths are now plastic-free with a fragrance-free formula.
What’s staying the same?
Same performance
The cloths continue to deliver the same reliable performance expected in clinical use.
Same skin care
The formulation provides the same level of cleansing and skin care.
Compatible with existing protocols
No changes are required to current clinical workflows, policies or training.
What action is required?
Update internal ordering systems
Update all relevant systems with the new NPC product codes to ensure correct ordering
Communicate changes
Inform the necessary purchasers of the updated codes to prevent ordering issues
