Simple, sterile skin disinfection
Skin antisepsis is a critical part of the infection prevention process before invasive vascular access procedures. MHRA in the UK recommends that all skin antiseptic products for medicinal use are manufactured sterile to maximise patient safety.
HEXI PREP* is a sterile impregnated pad containing 2% chlorhexidine digluconate in 70% isopropyl alcohol. You can use it as part of standard or surgical aseptic technique to disinfect skin before vascular access or other surgical procedures and during dressing changes and maintenance of lines to reduce the risk of bloodstream and surgical site infections.
HEXI PREP is a licensed pharmaceutical product that complies with key recommendations for aseptic practice in vascular access, including NICE, epic3 and CDC guidelines. It is also endorsed by ANTT® (Aseptic Non-Touch Technique).

Its active ingredients, 2% Chlorhexidine Digluconate in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, conform with epic3, NICE, CDC and Department of Health guidelines, making it a proven and effective solution for disinfecting central venous catheter hubs and sampling ports.
