News from the front line: GAMA Healthcare partners with leading Midlands Trust to enhance air quality across two sites

GAMA Healthcare is pleased to announce a significant investment from a prominent healthcare trust in the Midlands, which saw the deployment of nearly 300 Rediairs for mobile air purification across two of its sites. 

This important step comes as part of the trust’s proactive approach to improving air quality amid the winter season and the continued challenges posed by respiratory viruses including Influenza, RSV and SARS CoV- 2. The health and safety of both patients and staff remain top priorities and this investment underscores the trust’s commitment to creating a cleaner, safer environment whilst also following NHS advice and standards for use of air cleaners in healthcare facilities*, updated in October 2023.

GAMA Healthcare has worked closely with the trust’s facilities, estates and infection prevention and control teams to conduct thorough site audits focusing on air quality and support the seamless installation of the Rediair units. In addition, GAMA Healthcare has agreed to provide a comprehensive managed service, ensuring that the filters are replaced every six months over the next five years. This service will not only help maintain the highest standards of air quality but also ease the burden on the trust’s facilities teams by taking on the responsibility of filter maintenance.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in GAMA Healthcare’s mission to support healthcare institutions in providing safer and healthier spaces for both patients and staff with an emphasis, in this case, on air quality.
